The new Senior School Building is the centrepiece of the new Senior School campus, on the existing Victor Harbor site. The building facilitates the amalgamation of the two groups of years 11 and 12 students from the Goolwa and Victor Harbor campuses with capacity for future growth.

Sited on the southeast corner of the site, the new Senior School has visual impact and public interface. It has not only become the Senior School’s visual identity but also a new identity for Investigator College as a whole. The separation of the Building from the existing Victor Harbor campus  reinforces the individual identity of the Senior School but also maintains a strong visual connection to the campus. This was achieved with integrated urban design and a vast northern building aspect, which overlooks the site.

The building both externally and internally is dynamic and permeable, creating an exciting and flexible learning environment. Connecting with the recreational space and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) feature, the outside environment is brought in.

Internally operable walls and central learning common areas allow teaching spaces to be adaptable and specific to the requirements of each class.
